Association of Timber Merchant and Timber Exporting Companies of the Khabarovsk region joins 34 largest timber merchant and timber exporting companies of the Khabarovsk region. They keep up more than 58% of the whole volume of the timber product production and exporting of the Khabarovsk region.
It is private company. The juridical status is non-profit organization.
The first Constituent Assembly of the regional non-profit Assoiation of Timber Merchant and Timber Exporting Companies of the Khabarovsk region was held at 05th of January 2003, where Khabarovsk Region Forest Industry Minister was invited. The decision to organize Association was accepted by headings of the 32 timber companies. The company was founded on the 19th of March 2003.
Initially, Association united 32 companies, but later another 2 companies expressed the desire to join to the Association.
The company has the following strategic goals:
1. The basic purpose is to develop wood processing industry of the region. To achieve this goal we hold feasibility studies of the potential external markets, study internal market in order to find out necessary resources for production, develop woodworking projects, give recommendations to our members about appropriate possibilities to develop woodworking plants and how to gain maximum benefit of it. Today we hold a project of construction sawmilling plant at the Vanino area. Besides, we hold a feasibility study of the appropriate equipment not only for this definite project, but also for our forest companies projects. We advice with the Khabarovsk Region Forest Industry Ministry and Khabarovsk Region Natural Resources Ministry about strategic and current purposes of the development of the region.
2. Another goal is to assist effective economic, technical, scientific and social development of the Khabarovsk region forest companies.
3. To promote the achievements of science and progressive technology production.
4. To coordinate entrepreneur activity.
5. To improve investment and international policy of the Khabarovsk region.
6. To support timber company’s interests.
7. To provide inexhaustible timber resources usage policy.
8. To defend legal rights and interests of the members of the Association.
9. To pass the progressive experience to the timber producing and timber merchant companies of the Khabarovsk region.
